Well, finally back to doing some drawing again, with my first attempt at an animal!  A friends dog passed away last year, so I said I'd do a picture for her, so hoping this turns out ok!

Hmm...didn't realise how old my journal was!   Hope everyone is having a good 2012 so far?  Just to let you know I'm still about and actually on a fairly stead drawing spree, as I'm doing some drawing during break times in work at the moment.

It's slowed down a lot from the heady days of unemployment when I started drawing last March, but it's been just over a year since I decided to pick this hobby up as a few people I know were doing art classes and I wanted a hobby away from the computer!

At the moment I'm currently working on my newest Lord of the Rings picture of Arwen, which I hope to finish over the next few weeks and move on to other things.  It's in my scrapbook, like most of my other WiP's.  My only disappointment is I have damaged the paper on her right cheek, but gone too far to stop now.  I'm thinking of actually editing the final piece to remove it, which I haven't done on any work so far...(outside of colour balance and brightness/contrast)...so a bit worried it's a dangerous precedent to set!  Not much else exciting happening at the moment, but it's just an update!  I'm going to try and do a few more journal entries a bit more regularly from now on.

Well just finished my commission piece, going to post it tomorrow and then it's awaiting permission to post it up.

Will hope to have something new for you this weekend with any luck!   It was a bit rusty, with a 10+ week break, but hopefully back into the swing now and should post a bit more once again!

Right, so I made a great fuss back in August about doing things and then it just drifted away from me hehe....well after not really touching my pencil in 10 weeks (There is no euphemism there in any way. ) I have been drawing now since last week on that commission piece heh.

I'm still waiting for permission, so not posting WiP shots (I don't want the client to see) and the final version, which I hope to finish at the weekend with any luck!

It's just a piece to look at pricing and try and get back into the swing of things!

I've got a day job at last, so won't be producing stuff as fast as I was back in July at my peak, but to be honest, I can't get any slower than I am at the moment!

To all the folks who sent me messages and stuff, thanks a ton!  I do miss the folks on here, but do reply to messages that pop up!
